QTS required two new fully responsive websites; one for QTS Group and another for QTS Training. The team wanted to be able to edit and update the site content themselves and so they requested a content management system to be included also.
In addition the sites had to reflect the contemporary nature of the organisation and they are trying to improve the usage of social media channels and so social media integration into the website was paramount.
Community involvement is a key focus on the wider QTS brand, “QTS Social” and “QTS Training Social” pages were added to the sites. These pull all social media activity into one single (RSS) feed to the QTS corresponding pages - with the option to filter this feed by social media platform.
We integrated the new websites entirely, into the Umbraco CMS – a system focused on simplicity and flexibility and utilised by many world leading companies such as Microsoft, Toyota, Heinz, Costa and Vogue.
Being primarily a brochure site, the QTS Group homepage is headed by an autoplay time-lapse video to give a contemporary and impactful overview of the business at first glance. The fall back for this includes three other videos to cater to browser types, as well as an image to cater for roaming connections on all devices.
QTS Training required a resource where users could view upcoming courses in a calendar format. Each course category has its own calendar which is populated from the CMS - all of these are also collated into a single calendar.
With phone and email being the only options previously available for booking course online, PayPal was integrated to allow online booking. This will immediately, following a booking, generate an automated and branded email which includes joining instructions and training course reminders.
